Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern
School Motto
Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern’s motto is ‘Hau i Fedi’ (Sow to Reap). The logo is that of a thumbprint pushing a seed into the ground.
The motto is based on the school’s first Headmaster, Mr Carol Hughes’ vision – the seed representing the pupils that grow to be a healthy crop. The school’s motto is an agricultural term; a recognition of the strong agricultural community in Bro Alaw especially so in 1977 when the school opened its doors for the first time.
